On 3 August 2026 VLAIO confirmed that Schaalklaar returns in 2027. Pre-registration runs from 15 to 29 January 2027 and submission from 22 March to 23 April 2027; the call text is published in November 2026. Schaalklaar targets innovative companies between 1 and 5 years old based in the Flemish Region that intend to scale up in the short term. Support is up to EUR 350,000 (up to 70% of the approved project budget) over a maximum of 3 years, with a minimum budgeted project cost of EUR 500,000 and payment tied to milestones. Note the scope: Schaalklaar funds precisely those activities that do not fit a feasibility study, research project or development project — the aim is to make the company ready to scale, not to fund the scale-up phase itself. An expert jury selects the winners; in the 2026 round the 15 best projects are supported.
