The Flemish Programme for Innovation Procurement (PIO) helps Flemish public organisations use public procurement to have innovative solutions developed, tested and validated by companies and research institutions. PIO guides the entire tendering process and co-finances the purchase by up to 50%, to roughly €1 million. No thematic restrictions. Autumn 2026 call: submissions until 15 October 2026 (12:00). The applicant is always the public organisation; companies act as the innovative supplier — a route to launching-customer revenue.
