How we collect and handle personal data, under the GDPR.
Last updated: 8 October 2026.
This statement explains how subsidies.expert processes personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Belgian law. In case of differences between language versions, the Dutch version prevails.
The controller is Huduma VOF, operating under the trading name subsidies.expert, with registered office at Ekelendriesstraat 5, 1755 Gooik, Belgium, registered with the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises under number 0717.575.316 (VAT BE 0717.575.316). For any privacy question, contact us at freek@subsidies.expert.
Our website does not set advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not use marketing tools that follow your browsing. If that changes, we will update this statement and, where required, ask for your consent first.
We do not sell personal data. We share it only with service providers acting as processors under appropriate agreements: our website host and form provider (Netlify), our content platform (Sanity, from which your browser loads the grant calls) and our email and office-software provider (Microsoft 365). When we submit an application or report on your behalf, we share the necessary data with the funding body concerned (such as VLAIO or the European Commission). We also share data with authorities where the law requires it. Where a provider processes personal data outside the European Economic Area, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
We keep personal data no longer than necessary: enquiry data for as long as needed to handle your request and a reasonable period afterwards; client, file and accounting data for the periods required by law (in Belgium, generally up to ten years for accounting records) and for as long as funding bodies can carry out audits.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your personal data, to request rectification or erasure, to restrict or object to processing, to data portability and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us at freek@subsidies.expert. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority, Drukpersstraat 35, 1000 Brussels (dataprotectionauthority.be).
We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against loss, misuse and unauthorised access.
We may update this statement from time to time. The current version is always available on this page.
