The draft EIC 2027 work programme reshapes Pathfinder Open: from 2027 the evaluation runs in two stages. In stage one you submit a short proposal of at most eight pages together with commitment letters from every beneficiary; shortlisted applicants then develop a full proposal. Provisional dates are 25 February 2027 for stage one and 16 September 2027 for the full proposal. Pathfinder funds visionary, high-risk research into radically new technologies, carried out by consortia of companies, SMEs, universities and research organisations. Note that the work programme has not yet been formally adopted, so dates and conditions may still change.
